GULFSTREAM NAMES WILLIAM GIBSON DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT SUPPORT GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION
SAVANNAH, Ga., August 28, 2013 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has appointed William Gibson as director, Product Support Global Distribution. In this newly created position, he manages all processes, procedures and operations related to the movement and warehousing of spare parts throughout the Gulfstream Product Support global distribution network. Gulfstream has more than $1.4 billion in parts and materials strategically located worldwide, including the recent addition of distribution sites in Brazil, China and India.
For the past 10 years, Gibson worked for Honeywell, most recently as senior manager, Customer Operations for its Space and Defense segment. In this position, he served as the integrated supply chain focal point for company interactions with prime defense contractors.
Gibson also served as a manager for Honeywell in its Global Logistics, Supply Chain Planning and Transition Projects departments.
Gibson earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Arizona State University and a Master of Business Administration degree in supply chain management and finance from Michigan State University. He is a Six Sigma Green Belt and a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
Gibson reports to Derek Zimmerman, vice president, Product Support Materials, Gulfstream.
