Northrop Grumman Highlights Civil Defence, Critical National Infrastructure Solutions at Milipol Qatar Exhibition 2014
LONDON – Oct. 17, 2014 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) is participating at Milipol Qatar Exhibition 2014 in Doha, Qatar, where it will highlight its range of integrated security capabilities for command and control for disaster management.
Milipol Qatar will be held in the Doha Exhibition Centre from October 20-22, 2014, and is the leading showcase in the Arab world for equipment, technology solutions and innovations for professionals in the security sector.
The Northrop Grumman exhibit will be located on stand A6 within the U.K. Pavilion. Northrop Grumman security capabilities will include command and control, counter improvised explosive devices and remote bomb disposal, critical infrastructure protection systems, surveillance and intelligence, emergency services interoperability and border security.

The Northrop Grumman exhibit will showcase the company’s leading capability in unmanned ground vehicle systems for remote handling of hazardous threats including bomb disposal and tactical and surveillance operations. On display will be the brand new Andros TITUS, which is a lighter, faster, stronger and more intelligent -unmanned ground vehicle (UGV).
Titus is a powerful platform thanks to a completely re-imagined operating system that makes operation simple and efficient. Integrating physical control buttons and an 8.4″ multitouch screen, the TITUS OCU makes launching presets, flying the gripper, and other formerly complicated tasks easy and routine.
The Multi-intelligence Domain Awareness System (MIDAS) will also be on display. MIDAS is a state-of-the-art, net-centric, data aggregation, situational awareness and decision support system. It fuses knowledge of current operational status with powerful consequence analysis functionality, delivering a real time geospatial framework used to manage critical fusion centre operations. MIDAS is accessed using an intuitive geospatial display and can be deployed rapidly.
Other highlighted capabilities will include: CommandPoint, the computer-aided dispatch call handling application for use by the emergency services; and the Integrated Tactical Rapid Assessment of Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Environments (I-TRACE) system, a man-portable capability for monitoring CBRN incidents and the collection and handling of related data.
